You can’t really blame the “Jersey Shore” crew for raking in all the dough they can as long as their dubious fame lasts—but their bosses at MTV think they’re going too far. The cast has been ordered to curtail their number of personal appearances, especially at clubs and bars.

A source told Page Six, “MTV has told the ‘Jersey Shore’ crew they can only do two personal appearances a week, and that all of their gigs have to be approved by producers. They’ve threatened the cast that they will be fined if they flout the rules—but some don’t care and are blatantly going ahead to earn as much cash as they possibly can.”

Maybe some of the greedy guidos need to remember where they were before MTV found them—nowhere.

As expected, Dr. Conrad Murray appeared in an L.A. court to answer charges in the death of superstar Michael Jackson. The doctor pled not guilty to involuntary manslaughter as members of Jackson’s family looked on. The singer’s fans greeted Murray with chants of “murderer” as he entered the LAX-area courthouse with his lawyer.

Murray had to surrender his passport and was ordered not to prescribe any anesthetics to patients. He is currently free on $75,000 bail and returns to court on April 5. Even if the shady doc succeeds in avoiding jail time, he still has to face the wrath of the Medical Board of California, who want to yank his license.

Chuck Liddell admits that when he was offered another crack at Tito Ortiz, he viewed the opportunity as nothing more than a tuneup fight. Is Heidi Montag having second thoughts about her decision to radically alter her appearance with plastic surgery? “The Hills” star now says she’s “not in a great place” as she recovers from having ten surgeries on her face and body.

“It was so hurtful. My body really set back from recovering from all the crying, stress and that traumatic experience. My insides were just throbbing and pounding, but I know it’s part of what I had to go through.”

Maybe what Heidi really needs is therapy to help her accept and love herself the way she is. Wonder how soon she’ll forget all the pain and be back in the doctor’s office for more work?

He may be a baseball player, but it looks like Alex Rodriguez is making a rebound.

On the heels of his highly-publicized split from actress Kate Hudson, the Yankees superstar is now reportedly hooking up with big screen star Cameron Diaz, reports OK! magazine.

The twosome was spotted dancing the night away in Miami the day before the New Orleans Saints won the Super Bowl in Miami.

Sharing the dance floor with the likes of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, a source said Rodriguez, 34, and Diaz, 37, “were having a great time,” while the actress was “grinding on A-Rod.”

And from the sound of it – the duo aren’t just having a fleeting flirtation.

“A-Rod and Cameron have been totally hooking up,” a snitch told the mag.
